Christmas 2020 at St Marks

Advent Windows  This year we are opening our Advent windows to everyone!  We'd love to light up Whitehills see everyone's window creations.  Share your windows on our Facebook page (St Mark'sWhitehills) or Instagram #stmarksadventwindows.

Baby Jesus Rocks From Advent Sunday (29th November) , rocks painted with Baby Jesus will be hidden across the whole of Kingsthorpe parish.  We'd love anyone who finds one to share a picture with us on the 'Kingsthorpe Parish' Facebook page.

Christingle Trail From Saturday 12th December there will be a QR code trail for people to follow around St Mark's Crescent and the surrounding streets.  Using a mobile phone, people can scan a code and be taken to further information and activities relating to our traditional Christingle service.  On Saturday 19th December between 1 pm and 3 pm the church will be open for people to come and collect their Christingle bag (socially distanced of course!).  This contains all the things you need to make your own Christingle at home - you just need to provide the orange!

Memorial Tree  We know that many people have lost loved ones this year and not been able to mark that in the way that they would like.  A Christmas tree will be outside the church from Sunday 13th December along with a box of ribbons.  Please feel free to visit the tree and tie a ribbon to it to remember a loved one.  You are also very welcome to place ribbons of your own.  We will also be placing paper tags with names written on them on the tree inside church.  Tags will be available when the church is open on 19th December or you are welcome to put your own tags through the church letterbox (door on side of car park) and we will add them to the tree.
