St Mark

Welcome to St. Mark's church.

Thank you for visiting our website.  St Marks Church is located in the corner of St Mark's Crescent just off Greenhills Road, Whitehills.  We have been here in Whitehills, Spring Park and Obelisk Rise for over sixty years.  Our modern buildings provide a flexible and inspirational setting.  People are generally very surprised when they see the inside of the church - much bigger than it appears from the outside appearance.  Everyone of all ages are very welcome.

Our main services are at 10 am on a Sunday, feel free to just come along. There are also bible studies, home groups and more.

There are lots of different activities in the year.  At christmas we sang carols on the green just outside the church preceded by the wonderful Carlsberg Pipe Band.  We then moved inside for more carols, mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies.  Christingle on Christmas Eve at 4 pm is the start of Christmas.  Extended families always join us for this, and it is a big local tradition.

We have a wonderful church hall which is used by all sorts of groups including Tai Chi, Rainbows, St John Ambulance Badgers, Pause Working 4 Lunch, children's parties to name but a few.  Some of you may have also visited our hall when it is transformed into a polling station for elections too.

For more details of our Sunday services, please see Services at St. Mark.  All of our upcoming services are listed in the Church Calendar.

If you have any questions about St. Mark or would like to find out more about the Christian faith, please get in touch.  Just pop in on a Sunday or send an email to:  office@kingsthorpechurches.co.uk. or contact Revd Canon Jane Butler, our team rector on 01604 717133 (see Who's Who).

Rejoice in the Lord always;
again I will say, Rejoice.
